It's been a while since I last posted, eh? I've been wanting to post about this for a long while, but it's only recently gotten itself together. We are all lazy buts in my family, so I didn't want to post about this until it actually got done.
I used to have a room downstairs that held my desk, sewing machine, materials, TV, and xbox. Then my mother took over that room and piled everything into my bedroom. As you might imagine, it became *horribly* crowded in my room to the point I couldn't do much of anything. Recently I was given permission to take over our guest room, and a $90 budget that consisted of a can of paint and wood for a desk. Everything else I stole from our basement, we downsized when we moved to New York so we have lots of left over furniture.
Though the room is pretty small (well small compared to every other room in our house. It's around 10' x 13') I'm really happy to finally have enough space for my interests.
It's not totally finished, it's still a bit of a mess. But you can get a good idea of it all
Step one was painting! The room was originally a mix of this dark olive color and mint green, it wasn't my taste so I chose a teal color :3
Then my dad built me a 10' wide desk to go across the width of the room.
And now I finally get to move my stuffs in! This is what the room looks like as a whole, it's still pretty messy and not *totally* finished. I have a drafting desk and dress form in there too, but you can't really see it. Dx We will be moving a huge mirror in, and hanging my Stocking swords in an "X" like a coat of arms type thing.
This is what my drawing desk looks like right now, it's 6' wide and holds all my markers and things. I have a piece of foam laid out since it's much easier on my elbows then the hard wood.
This is the closet, where the "real" action is. The right side holds all my cosplays (not that I have that many..) Then the right side
has all my fabric and things. The top shelf with the white boxes stores tulle, quilting material, and yarn. The next shelf down has more fabric, my prismacolored pencils, and my cameras box.
The next shelf with blue lidded boxes holds a variety of things. One holds electronics, chiffon, spandex, etc. Others hold accessories for individual costumes. Clear boxes hold watercolors and muslin patterns, then some special cosplay only shoes are stacked on top. The next shelf has more fabric, then the bottom is more fabric, along with my oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints.
Then some wig heads and my camera box xD;;
So that's about it
I'm going to the doctors on Thursday so hopefully they can give me some drugs to get rid of this torn muscle, then maybe I will feel well enough to draw again!
